What is a Quasar?

Quasar is the acronym for the "Quasi Stellar Objects" (QSO). These were first discovered in late 90's as the source of radio signals coming from deep space. Quasar are the most destructive object in the universe they are found in the distant galaxies .These are the most luminous object in the universe . They are the active galactic nuclei with a supermassive black hole at the center mass millions times  bigger than our star sun . The centered Black Hole is surrounded by the  accretion disk made of gas and stars remnant  . They emit the jets of jets from their nucleus . These Quasars are the most brightest objects in the galaxies .

How they formed ?

Quasars are the active galactic nuclei. They are mainly formed in the gigantic and young galaxies. A Quasar is formed when a super massive black holes at the center of the young or colliding galaxies aggregate enough material around  the centered black hole in enter the accretion disc and  light up the Quasar. And when the matter become enough in the accretion disc around the black hole it is spelled due to  the centripetal force in the form of gamma ray jets from its both side.

Structure of a Quasar

Quasars are the most brightest object in the universe they are a kind of a active galactic nuclei . The Quasars contain a supermassive black hole at center around which accretion disc is present, sometimes more than one black holes are discovered in the center of Quasars .The supermassive black hole present at center are million times massive than normal black holes and the accretion disc lies around the event horizon and when these accretion disc matter  be enough to power up the quasar , the matter is spelled in the from of  the jet of continuum gamma radiation . And these jets are so luminous that they can seen form distant galaxies.

How dangerous are they ?

Quasars are said to be most destructive objects in the universe. The nearest quasars are millions of light years from earth . The nearest Quasar IC 2497 in the Leo Minor Constellation  is 730 million light years away from the Earth so they are far enough to be not destructive for us . But that doesn't mean that they are not destructive, the jest coming out of the quasars  can destroy every things in they way of their jets ejected from the the center black hole .
